factorydefaultsettings.

Important: ResettingyourAirPortExtremetofactorydefaultsettingserasesall

ofyourbasestationsettingsandresetsthemtothesettingsthatcamewithyour

AirPortExtreme.

To return your AirPort Extreme to the factory settings:

Usethetipofaballpointpentopressandholddowntheresetbuttonuntilthestatus

lightashesquickly(about5seconds).

TheAirPortExtremeresetswiththefollowingsettings:

Â TheAirPortExtremereceivesitsIPaddressusingDHCP.

Â ThenetworknamerevertstoAppleNetworkXXXXXX(whereXXXXXXisreplaced

withthelastsixdigitsoftheAirPortID).

Â Thebasestationpasswordreturnstopublic.

If your base station is still not responding, try the following:

1 UnplugyourAirPortExtreme.

2 Usethetipofaballpointpentoholddowntheresetbuttonwhileyoupluginyour

AirPortExtreme.
