The clip art in AppleWorks 6 is in the Clippings, not the
Library. From the File Menu, select Show Clippings.
Use the tabs at the bottom of the Clippings window to
select a specific group of clip art pictures.
To Insert the image:
• Once you have found an appropriate image, drag it
into your document.
• If you click on the Text tool prior to inserting
the image, the image will insert as text and move with
the text.
• If you click on the Pointer tool prior to inserting the image, you will be able to drag
it around the page as an independent image.
• Click on the Wrap tool to make the text wrap around the image.
• You can use the handles on the image to resize it.
To locate a specific image:
• Type the subject in the search line and click on
search.
• AppleWorks will automatically open your Internet
browser and search the AppleWorks web site for
the image.
• If you want to save the image on your hard drive
for future use, first drag the image to a document,
then drag it into one of the tabs in the clippings
window.
Speak Text
• Highlight the text you want read aloud.
• Click on the Speak Text button.
