10 Replace the sheet metal shield you removed earlier. Then reinsert the screws and tighten them.

Note: Do not replace the sheet metal shield if you’re installing a removable storage device

such as a tape drive. If a specialized sheet metal shield came with the device, install it instead

and replace the screws. Otherwise, insert the screws into the drive carrier and tighten them.

11 Replace the plastic faceplate.

Note: If the SCSI device is a removable storage device such as a tape or cartridge drive, do

not install the faceplate you removed earlier. If a new faceplate is included with the

removable storage device, install it instead.

12 Carefully lay the computer on its side.

13 Proceed to “Closing the Computer,” next.

Snap the plastic faceplate back into place.

Reinstall both screws.
