8 Rename Menu 3 Chapter Menu 2 in the Outline tab, and press Enter.

9 Press F1 for the basic configuration.

The Menu Editor is the only quadrant on the interface. It will be easier to

put the finishing touches on your chapter index menus in this configuration.

10 Double-click the menu title Company Name Here and type Chapter Index

Menu Two.

11 From the View pop-up menu in the Menu Editor choose Chapter Menu 1.

12 Double-click the menu title Company Name Here and type Chapter Index

Menu One.

Your menus are complete, and they give the viewer a convenient visual

menu to jump to any chapter in your movie.

13 Save, then simulate your project.

Working With Subtitles

DVD Studio Pro allows you to create subtitles directly in the Track Editor.

Subtitles are commonly used to overlay dialogue text on a video stream to

communicate to the audience in different languages. They can also be used to

overlay a simple graphic on a video stream to create a button.

Creating a Subtitle

For this project you will create a simple subtitle in the Timeline window of the

Track Editor.

1 Press F2 for the extended configuration.

2 Make sure the Track tab is open and you are viewing the Encounter_

Movie track in the lower quadrant (quadrant 3).
