2 Tap Continue.

3 In the first setup slip that appears, enter the appropriate information.

m Setup Name—Enter a name for this setup, such as Work, Home, School, or Atlanta

Field Office.

m Configuration—Tap Manual if you are using a static IP address (the address is

assigned to you); tap DHCP Server if the server assigns you an IP address each

time you log in.

m Card—Tap the name of the Ethernet PC card you are using.

If your Ethernet card is not in the list, check with the manufacturer of the card to

see if they have driver software you can use with your Newton device. Once you

install the driver file on your Newton device, the card’s name should appear in

this list.

4 When you’re ready, tap Continue.

If you do not enter all of the necessary information, a message appears telling you

that you need to enter information to continue. Tap X to close the message slip,

then enter the necessary information.

5 In the second setup slip, enter the appropriate information.
