m Setup Name—Enter a name for this setup, such as Work, Home, School, or Atlanta

m Protocol—Tap PPP or SLIP, depending on the communications protocol you’re

using.

m Configuration—Tap Manual if you are using a static IP address (the address is

assigned to you); tap Server if the server assigns you an IP address each time

you log in.

m Access Number—Enter the telephone number that allows you to connect to and

access your ISP or private intranet.

m User ID—Enter your user name (also known as your login ID).

m Set Password—Tap here and follow the onscreen instructions to enter your

password, if you have one. (If you already set your password, the button is labeled

Edit Password.)

m When closing, disconnect—Tap here and in the pop-up list, tap the time you want

to wait until the connection is closed after you close an Internet application.

4 When you’re ready, tap Continue.
